One of our favourite destinations in Dorset is Wareham, a convenient stop off point on the way to the beach or the perfect place for a spot of lunch. On our way back from Lulworth interviewing Made at Milldown we popped in to see the Artisan Yard and have a spot of something to eat at the famous Salt Pig in the High Street. We were of course dropping off some leaflets for the artisans
The Artisan Yard is located behind the high street and is filled with fabulous artisan products, the perfect place to go for a Christmas shop. The yard is open frmo 10-5 7 days a week. There are two floors of fun to be had.
The easiest way to find the yard is to walk out of Sainsburies into the car park and turn right. Follow the road straight on and you will see the yard about 100 yards on on the right hand side.
If you are in the area you can then combine either some food in the Salt Pig or have tea or beer by the river.
My daughter for some reason adores cactuses and as luck would have it there is a selection of cactii with face on. For £5 at least I made one person grateful that I exist. We have one of the artisans as a vendor already and look forward to welcoming more on board soon.
